RAVEN Software (Radiation Alarm and Video Event Notification), a software package to complement TSAs outstanding array of radiation detection systems was designed to both capture and view data and video images relating to a radiological detection incident. Using radiation detectors and RAVEN, stored sets of data and video rapidly identify the transportation method of radioactive substances. A network of radiation detectors provides instant alarm notification.
Portal Monitors and radiation detectors are designed for pedestrian, vehicular and train traffic. Generally, the portal monitors consist of two, self-contained, weather resistant pillars placed on either side of the walkway, roadway or railway to be protected. The radiation detector pillars contain two plastic scintillator detectors, an occupancy detector, and an amplifier/controller. Specific pedestrian monitors provide a unique detection algorithm to achieve performance qualifying for ASTM Standard C 1169 Category III sensitivity for special nuclear materials (SNM). Customized portal monitors include mobile detection systems and conveyorized radiation portal monitors. The mobile detection system incorporates both stationary and drive-by monitoring with a single radiation detector pillar. Radiation portal monitors designed by TSA Systems automatically scan vehicles, containers or pedestrians without the need for frequent calibration. They are compatible with the RAVEN software package and can be customized to specific customer requirements.

System Controllers are designed for use in most TSA portal monitors and radiation detectors. Supplying high voltage to the detectors, amplifying the nuclear pulses from the photo-multiplier tubes and providing lower and upper level discrimination, system controllers are an integral component of the radiation detectors and monitors.

About TSA
Company Profile describes TSA Systems, American owned
and operated, as a world leader in the design and manufacture of sensitive radiation detectors. Special nuclear materials
(SNM) and radiation detectors manufactured by TSA Systems are able to detect weapons grade plutonium in accordance
with the requirements of ASTM International (USA), GOST (Russia) standards, and the ITRAP program.
Company History recounts how TSA Systems has been in the
business of designing and manufacturing SNM (Special Nuclear Materials) radiation detectors and monitors since 1981.
TSA Systems, Ltd. was formed in 1987 with the merger of TSA Systems, Inc., founded in 1975, and Geoscience Associates,
Inc., founded in 1961.
Accreditation certifies that TSA Systems' radiation
detectors fully satisfy the highest international requirements applied to radioactivity monitoring and controlling
equipment and was awarded certification during the ITRAP program conducted by the (ARCS) Austrian Research Centers
Seibersdorf in cooperation with the (IAEA) International Atomic Energy Agency, the (WCO) World Customs Organization
and the (INTERPOL) International Criminal Police Organization.
