Description
Alarm Monitor model AM-270 is a remote monitor unit with battery back-up used with TSA’s pedestrian, vehicle and train portal monitors. The AM-270 provides both audible and visual indications gamma and neutron radiation alarms and system faults. Parallel relay outputs are provided to permit interfacing with existing alarm systems. The AM-270 may be located up to 300 ft (100m) from the pillar to be monitored.
A test button is provided to check the operation of the lamp(s) and audio circuits. An acknowledge button silences the audio and clears the lamp(s). If the alarm is not acknowledged, the lamp(s) will follow the system’s status.
The AM-270 operates from an internal battery which is continuously charged from the ac line. If ac power is lost, the battery will provide more than 12 hours of continued operation.
One AM-270 will monitor two systems or two SC-770 controllers.
The AM-270 is controlled by a programmable logic device. This allows the flexibility to provide custom operation for special applications.

Applications
Alarm monitor model AM-270 is a remote display indicator designed to be used with TSA’s PM-700A series pedestrian portal monitors, VM-250A series vehicle portal monitors and the the TM-850 train portal monitor.
The AM-270 may be located up to 300 ft (100cm) from the portal monitor.
A programmable logic device controls the AM-270, allowing custom operation for special applications.
