Description
The model WM-288 is a conveyor waste monitor designed to scan a variety of solid waste material for alpha, beta, and gamma contamination. The items to be scanned are placed on the conveyor belt which transports them through the detector chamber at a controlled speed. Contaminated items trigger a visual and audio alarm, and cause the belt to reverse, returning them to the loading station. The operator must remove the items from the belt, and acknowledge the alarm before further scanning is possible.
The WM-288 may be equipped with a containment system that can be connected to an external HEPA filter.
